Ladies and gentlemen,

We invite you to 3^. Hippocratic Medical Conference of the University of Thessaly, which will take place on September 5-7, 2024 at the facilities of the Department of Medicine, University of Thessaloniki  (September 5, 2024 at the HIPPOCRATIS Amphitheater, Biopolis & September 6-7, 2024 at the KATSIGRA Building).

The organization of the 3^u Hippocrates Medical Conference continues the annual constructive communication of the Department of Medicine of the University of Thessaly with the local community, the Municipality of Larissa and the Region of Thessaly.

Faculty members, students and scientific associates of the Departments of Medicine will present contemporary medical developments and scientific work produced by members of the Department. These topics will be open for discussion with the public.

Additionally, topics of great interest in Medical Education, Primary and Public Health, and contemporary diagnostic and therapeutic strategies offered by the Department of Medicine and the University General Hospital of Larissa will be presented.

We live in an era in which patients and relatives, through questionable quality information they receive from the internet, express their opinion or decide on their own about the treatment they will follow. We believe that we have a great responsibility to present responsible and reliable information about common medical problems to society.

The conference coincides (and includes related presentations) with the annual events for the «Eternal Return of Hippocrates to Larissa», which are co-organized by the Municipality of Larissa, the Region of Thessaly, the Medical Association of Larissa «Hippocrates» and the Association «Hippocrates in Larissa». Furthermore, with actions within the framework of the conference we support our ongoing collaboration with the International Hippocratic Foundation of Kos and the World Hippocratic Institute of Physicians, with the aim of achieving the internationalization of Hippocratic ideas in the field of Medicine.
