White Coat Ceremony

The Department of Medicine of the University of Thessaly organizes the internationally established White Coat Ceremony, a particularly important moment in the academic and professional career of Medical students.

The ceremony takes place today, Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 18:00, at the "Ippokrates" Amphitheater at the premises of the Department of Medicine in Biopoli, and concerns the 1st and 2nd year students of the Department's Undergraduate Study Program.

The event marks the students' imminent integration into clinical education and the undertaking of commitments associated with the humanitarian dimension of Hippocratic Medicine, within the context of their training at the University Hospital of Larissa.

Purpose of the Event

• To honor the transition to the Medical community of the Department of Medicine, University of Thrace with the commitment to providing high-quality medical care to patients with empathy.
• To affirm the principles of confidentiality, integrity and respect for the patient.
• To highlight the values of ethics, communication and teamwork.

The University of Thessaly confirms through this event its commitment to the international perspective of its study programs and to the high standards of medical education.
