ANNOUNCEMENT

The Association was founded in June 2015. The establishment of the Association is an extension of the initiative taken by teachers of five schools in Larissa (2nd High School, 1st Middle School, 16th and 32nd Primary School and 56th Kindergarten). The teachers implemented a joint program with many important actions to bring their students closer to the Hippocratic idea, also collaborating with a school in Kos, where Hippocrates was born. Subsequently, teachers who participated in the program, as well as other Larissa citizens, decided to establish the Association in order for this effort to take on more permanent characteristics and for Hippocrates - as a symbol of Larissa - to be promoted worldwide. 

 Among the main objectives of the Association are the promotion and promotion of the Hippocratic idea as an element of identity of the city of Larissa, as well as the exploitation of the monument and the reopening of the Alcazar museum, in order to make it a center of attraction, inspiration and lifelong learning for the general public of both Larissa and visitors to the city. In the context of the implementation of the above objectives, seminars and conferences of scientific interest, educational programs and cultural events are expected to take place.
