The Orthopedic Clinic of the University of Thessaly has the honor of hosting the Prof. Joan C. Monllau, MD, PhD, President her ESSKA (European Society for Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy) 2024-2026.

Professor Monllau will give lectures at the scientific evening entitled "Current concepts in sports injuries – Contemporary perspectives on athlete injuries», which will take place in the large "Hippocrates" amphitheater of the Medical School, in Biopolis of Larissa the Monday, November 11, 2024 and time 16.00-20.00.

The lectures of the scientific evening are of particular interest to doctors of Orthopedics, General Medicine, Physiotherapists, but also to all health professionals involved in the care of athletes and beyond.

Professor Monllau is internationally recognized and widely known for his studies and contributions to the field of knee surgery, meniscal and cartilage transplants and sports injuries. He is also an honorary member of the most important Arthroscopic Knee Surgery Societies in Europe and Worldwide.

The evening lectures will be held in English by the visiting professor and in Greek with English slides by our clinic staff.
