ANNOUNCEMENT FOR SCHOLARSHIPS FOR POSTGRADUATE STUDIES ABROAD FOR THE YEAR 2024/2025
SCHOLARSHIP TOPIC "CLINICAL PSYCHOPHARMACOLOGY"«
The Hellenic Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology (H.E.P.S.Y.) announces an annual scholarship for postgraduate studies at a scientific center abroad, for the academic year 2024/2025, related to issues of clinical psychopharmacology.
The scholarship will be worth €15,000, offered by the OFET "Kleon Tsetis" pharmaceutical group.
Conditions for submitting an application
Candidates must meet the following requirements.
- Have Greek citizenship.
- They must be graduates of a domestic or foreign Medical School.
- Have a minimum bachelor's degree grade of 7/10 or equivalent from a foreign university.
- They must be specialist psychiatrists or postdoctoral students, or psychiatrists in training at a center in Greece or abroad and have successfully completed the fourth year of their education (a written certificate from their director is required regarding the level of knowledge already acquired in psychiatry).
- Hold a degree that certifies that they have excellent knowledge of the English language or the language of the center in which they will be trained.
- Not have received any scholarship or grant from another state or non-state body for the academic year 2024/2025. The scholarship given to the candidate by the center or university clinic in which he/she will be trained is excluded.
- The university clinic or center where the candidate will be trained abroad will be the choice of the Hellenic Society of Psychiatry and of the candidate himself.
- Finally, the candidate must have been born after December 31, 1989, i.e. be at least 35 years old.
Selection criteria
The evaluation of applications is carried out by the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Society of Mental Health, with the information of the Board of Directors of OFET "Kleon Tsetis" as a financial sponsor, taking into account the following criteria:
- The candidates' scores in combination with the academic ranking of the University Institution of origin.
- The evaluative ranking of the University Clinic or the research center of destination
- The candidate's possession of a degree or equivalent qualification. Priority will be given to candidates who do not hold another equivalent qualification.
- The candidate's knowledge of foreign languages and corresponding degrees.
- The candidate's financial situation.
- Assessments of the candidate's general personality based on the application information and the personal interview.
It is noted that the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Society of Psychiatry will decide at its own discretion based on the optimal combination of the above criteria and will contribute indiscriminately to the selection of the most deserving candidate, always based on the prestige of the university center or clinic that will accept and select the candidate.

The decision of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Society of Psychology to award the scholarship will be posted on the Hellenic Society of Psychology website in the second fortnight of September 2024.
