FIELD OF SURGERY
1. One (1) vacant organic teaching position at the level of Assistant Professor with tenure, with subject "Anesthesiology".
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Anesthesiology is a recognized main medical specialty and has as its object the perioperative (preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative for at least 24 hours) management of patients, of all ages and all specialties, as well as the management of patients with acute and chronic pain, benign and non justification.
This position requires par excellence clinical experience in Anesthesiology which means many years and continuous until now clinical work in a tertiary hospital dealing with perioperative patients of all specialties.
Additionally, this position requires educational experience at undergraduate and postgraduate level, administrative experience as well as research work in the field of Anesthesiology.
2.One (1) vacant faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor with tenure, with the subject "Orthopaedics".
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The academic subject "Orthopaedics" concerns the management of trauma and pathology of the musculoskeletal system. It largely involves the reconstruction of large joints. In addition, it includes the diagnosis and treatment of infections after musculoskeletal trauma and after reconstruction of large joints, sports injuries, injuries and pathology of the developing skeleton, neoplasms of the musculoskeletal system and orthopedic surgery of the upper extremity.
DEPARTMENT OF PATHOLOGY
1. One (1) vacant faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor with tenure, with the subject "Cardiology-Electrophysiology".
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The academic subject "Cardiology-Electrophysiology" falls within the scientific field of Cardiology and includes the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of Cardiac conditions and diseases such as:
1. Primary and secondary prevention of sudden cardiac death.
2. Familial and acquired cardiomyopathies.
3. Cardiac syncope.
4. Telemonitoring of patients with heart failure.
5. Support of heart function of patients with advanced - end-stage heart failure.
6. Acute and chronic coronary syndromes ie: myocardial infarction – unstable angina – stable angina
7. Supraventricular and ventricular tachyarrhythmias.
8. Cardiac rhythm management devices of all types (pacemakers, defibrillators, biventricular pacemakers, subcutaneous defibrillators, leadless pacemakers).
9. Catalysis of supraventricular and ventricular tachyarrhythmias.
10. Atrial fibrillation ablation.
11. Transthoracic and duodenal echocardiography with an emphasis on the newest technologies.
12. Interventional treatment of various cardiac diseases.
The subject matter of the advertised position requires proven educational-teaching experience using innovative teaching methods and supervisory ability at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level. The advertised position requires quality
and recognized research and scientific work in the wider range of Cardiology – Electrophysiology, as evidenced by publications and references (citations) & h – index of publications in the field of Cardiology – Electrophysiology, invitations to national and international conferences, international/ national financings as principal or
participating researcher, participation in collaborating multicenter groups and participation in bodies of international/national organizations, research activity which must include Greek or international research programs, be relevant to the cognitive
subject of the position and have evidence of self-reliance according to the rank of the position. Finally, it presupposes clinical experience in Cardiology – Electrophysiology, acquired through multi-year and continuous clinical work in a recognized hospital institution (e.g.
in a tertiary care hospital) treating patients across the spectrum of Cardiology.
