Subject: invitation to participate in the 5th Oncology training school "5th Oncology masterclass", April 11-13, 2024, Imperial Hotel, Larissa

Dear students,
It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the 5th School of Oncology entitled "5th Oncology Masterclass" for undergraduate students organized by the Society for Clinical and Laboratory Research in Oncology (EKEEO) in collaboration with the University Oncology Clinic of the University General Larissa Hospital. The School will take place between April 11-13, 2024, alongside the 6th Oncology Congress of Central Greece, in a separate room
at the Imperial Hotel in Larissa.
The goal of the organizers is to have a total of ~50 students participate (6-7 from each Medical School in Greece). The program will include educational sessions - courses, which will cover and highlight the important developments that have been made in recent years in the diagnostic access and treatment of Oncology patients from different specialties. After the lessons, you will
debates are held on real incidents with interaction between students and experts. In order to better conduct the discussions, small groups will be formed that will be asked to diagnose and manage the cases as future healers under the guidance of the experts. During the discussion of
incidents, the participation of students who will not belong to the management team is also encouraged with questions and comments.
A necessary condition is the interest in oncology and the appetite to discover the foundations of modern oncology, a specialty in which rapid scientific developments have brought about enormous changes in the diagnostic and therapeutic approach to cancer.
As already emphasized, the number of participants will be limited and in case of increased participation, the selection will be based on the short CV of the candidates, giving priority to older years. The organizers will undertake to cover the travel expenses and accommodation of the students in 3-bed rooms at the hotel where the conference will be held.
The organization, the program and the main objectives will be similar to those of the previous Oncology Masterclasses and by looking at the related programs you can get an idea of the topics that will be covered and the structure of the seminar.
