The 2^or  Assembly of the Department of Medicine, on 21.10.2020, ratified the conclusion of the ELKE Proposal Evaluation Committee, for the funding of two (2) research proposals with the amount of €4000, each, due to a tie.

Research proposals entitled:
1) "Study of molecular biomarkers in urine cytology with THIN PREP liquid phase technique compared to cystoscopy in the context of monitoring patients with bladder cancer" by Mrs. Maria Samaras, Assistant Professor of Pathological Anatomy with an emphasis on Molecular Histopathology
2) "Qualitative and quantitative assessment of brain tumors using advanced imaging techniques and development of differential diagnosis software using artificial intelligence systems" by Mr. Chrysovalantis-Ioannis Tsougou, Associate Professor of Medical Physics
