INVITATION FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
The Department of Medicine of the University of Thessaly invites those interested to apply to attend the Postgraduate Studies Program (M.S.) "Management and Rehabilitation of the Critically Ill» for the academic year 2026-2027.
The postgraduate studies in the above P.M.S. lead to obtaining a Master's Degree Diploma "Management and Rehabilitation of the Critically Ill»", after a 4-semester study cycle, in Greek or English, which includes attending postgraduate courses, preparing a thesis and an internship, with a total of 120 credit points (ECTS).
The study program in the semesters is as follows:

The Postgraduate Program admits graduates of Departments of Medicine, Nursing, Physical Education and Sports Science, Polytechnic Schools, Physiotherapy and related specialties of domestic Universities or corresponding departments of recognized institutions abroad, as well as graduates of TEIs in a related field of study. Graduates of HEIs and TEIs of other specialties are also admitted subject to additional criteria and consideration of proven professional and research experience.
The selection process will be based on the application files and will be based on criteria such as degree level, knowledge of foreign languages (especially English), possession of other postgraduate degrees, professional and any research activity (publications in scientific journals, announcements at conferences ) the letters of recommendation, the relevance of the undergraduate (or other postgraduate) studies to the subject of the P.M.S as well as the relevant professional experience. In some cases candidates may be invited to a personal interview by members of the Graduate Student Selection Committee.
The number of admissions to the P.M.S. is set at 40. Interested parties should initially submit their application and CV to the e-mail: mscdavp@gmail.com and then send electronically the following documents until August 23, 2026:
1. Paper application (available on the PMS website) https://mscdavp.med.uth.gr/entypa/ -> Printed admission application form).
- Curriculum vitae with data on the applicant's studies, research and professional experience (there is a model on the PMS website https://mscdavp.med.uth.gr/entypa/ -> Sample CV).
This should include:
a. Brief report of academic and research interests, which will include the reasons why the candidate is interested in the specific P.M.S.
b. List of scientific publications, if available.
c. Summary of the diploma or degree thesis, if such has been prepared by the candidate.
d. Evidence of professional experience, if any.
The supporting documents that candidates must submit are:
- Application for Participation (provided by the PMS Secretariat and from the relevant website).
- Curriculum vitae (curriculum vitae form (provided by the PMS Secretariat and from the relevant website).
This should include:
a. Brief report of academic and research interests, which will include the reasons why the candidate is interested in the specific P.M.S.
b. List of scientific publications, if available.
c. Summary of the diploma or degree thesis, if such has been prepared by the candidate.
d. Evidence of professional experience, if any.
- A copy of a diploma or certificate that they have completed their studies and are expected to graduate by the start date of the courses (October 2026).
- Copy of detailed score
- Scientific publications, distinctions, evidence of professional or research activity (if any).
- Evidence of professional experience (if any).
- Photocopy of two sides of the police ID.
- Evidence of foreign languages.
- Two photo IDs.
- Two letters of recommendation.
The start of the P.M.S. courses will take place in October 2026. The courses are held in person. However, the possibility of online teaching is supported. The P.M.S. professors have the necessary experience and the technical support team has the competence to conduct distance learning.
Tuition fees amount to 3,000 euros (€750 at the start of the 1st semester, 750 € at the start of the 2nd semester, 750 € at the start of the 3rd semester, 750 € at the start of the 4th semester).
