Organogenesis – Protests and Clinical Applications v. Special Pathological Anatomy I. – vi. Obstetrics and Gynecology I -vii. Obstetrics Gynecology II

Students who owe Obstetrics-Gynecology I – II (of the 5th year) can carry out their two-month clinical practice in the Bachelor of Obstetrics-Gynecology (of the 6th year), but they cannot be examined in the Bachelor of Obstetrics-Gynecology if they do not first be successfully examined in Obstetrics-Gynecology I-II.

Semester Lectures: Details/Lectures

Teaching Method: Development of Obstetrics-Gynecology topics - Commenting on characteristic patient cases - Student participation in clinical exercises - Student presentations.

  • Student hours are 08.30am-2.30pm
  • The students attend the "morning report" (08.30am-9.30am), participate – divided into groups of 2-3 people per specialist doctor – in visiting patients, each being responsible for at least 1 patient. They then participate in the visit with the specialist doctor and the corresponding specialist doctors, as well as the visit of the Clinic Director (or his substitute) with all the Clinic's doctors, where all patients are presented.
  • Each student presents in PowerPoint an interesting incident of their choosing with the guidance and supervision of a Clinic faculty member
  • The noon zone (12.30am-1.30pm) includes the tutorials, the presentation of cases by the students and any educational event the Clinic has. These presentations will be posted in the e-class of the course.
  • During the two-month period, students are required to attend 3 shifts, on different days each, based on a program issued in the first week of the internship (student representative).
  • Students are also required to participate in the scientific events of the clinic
  • At the end of the two-month period, the representative of the students during the two-month period delivers to the person in charge of the course: a) a form with certified attendance of the Clinic on-calls by the doctor in charge of each on-call b) CD with all case presentations by students, c) 2 complete histories of patients from each student case reports.
  • Each student has the right to be absent 2 days in the 8 weeks of clinical practice. Absences beyond this limit are not accepted.

After the end of the two-month clinical training there is a graduation exam (oral)

The course and teachers are evaluated electronics aby the students before the end of their internship.

It is also given to students printed matter for detailed internal evaluation of the Clinic and Faculty Members, which is completed anonymously by the students.

Students are encouraged to express their opinion on the overall educational process of the course and any proposed changes.

The results of the above answers to the questionnaire are used appropriately with the aim of improving the educational process for the specific course.


Objective Objectives/Desired Results: Clinical practice and training of students in Obstetrics and Gynecology for the purpose of diagnosis and treatment of gynecological and obstetric diseases in inpatients as well as outpatients

 The breakdown of the material below aims to analyze the main points of each Chapter, which will be learning objectives for students.

A) BREAKDOWN OF THE MATERIAL For each of the individual Chapters of the "Obstetrics and Gynecology" course, the learning objectives for the student are analyzed through lectures and clinical exercises

The aim of the course is for students to understand the importance and clinical contribution of Obstetrics-Gynecology as an independent Medical Specialty.

Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:

* Has understood the basic principles of Obstetrics-Gynecology, Uterine Medicine, Gynecological Oncology, Reproductive Medicine and Urogynecology

* Has understood the physiology and pathology of the female reproductive system as well as the diagnosis and treatment of pathological conditions

* Is able to understand the study of the function of human reproduction, the female urinary system and gynecological neoplasms, the use and contribution of ultrasound and the normal development of pregnancy, childbirth as well as

* The diagnosis and treatment of the corresponding pathological conditions

* Can collaborate with fellow students to research and analyze international literature

Course Description: Obtaining clinical examination history of patients as well as learning diagnostic methods.
Monitoring in the various departments of the Clinic. Obstetrics (delivery room, lechoids, surgery, outpatients, prenatal check-up) and Gynecology (gynecology ward, surgery, outpatients and family planning)
