Upon successful completion of the course, students will have acquired:

• to write basic summary texts in English
• to use relevant software
• to have the resources for Medical topics through English texts and audio-visual videos with or without English subtitles.
• to approach English medical texts in order to understand the relevant grammatical phenomena through relevant audio-visual activities

General Abilities

To develop students’ skills through reading, audio-visual and other activities in the English language and to be able to plan, analyze and compose relevant English discourse.

Furthermore, to familiarize themselves with English terminology related to their subject of study through modern, authentic, English texts which refer to fields such as Medical Chemistry, Medical Physics, etc..

Use of software and online applications as well as the recommended printed materials to complete the following modules: 

Unit 1

Comprehension of medical science written texts

Unit 2

Writing scientific texts about medical science

Unit 3

Listening Comprehension of English for Medical Science texts

Unit 4

Using English to communicate in case studies of medical issues
