FRENCH II

Asynchronous teaching through e-class

Use of PC, Power point, use of internet, audio and video. use of e-mail and messaging applications to communicate with students

The evaluation process of the course is done in French, it is jointly decided with the students in the first courses.

It is, however, possible for students to submit, in consultation with the teacher and under her supervision, a written exculpatory paper on a topic that is defined jointly.

• the development of appropriate language skills (vocabulary & grammatical-syntactic structures) to understand basic French terminology for everyday medical issues,
• the understanding of the meaning of medical terms based on the recognition of the prefix, root and suffix of a word,
• familiarizing students with terminology related to the basic anatomy of the human body and its basic functions and
• familiarizing students with the basic medical terminology of biology, biochemistry and physics.

Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:

• Understands and uses the syntactic and grammatical structures of the French language.
• Understands and uses basic health-related vocabulary.
• Understands simple medical texts.
• Observes and understands the anatomical projection of various systems.
• Understands the meaning of medical terms by recognizing the prefix, root and suffix of a word.

3rd Unit
Title: The circulatory system
Objectives:
I observe and comment on the anatomical view of the circulatory system
I am learning medical French terminology related to the anatomy of the circulatory system and its basic functions
I understand and/or enrich the subject-related syntactic and grammatical structures of the French language

4th Unit
Title: The respiratory system
Objectives:
I observe and comment on the anatomical projection of the respiratory system
I am learning medical French terminology related to the anatomy of the respiratory system and its basic functions
I understand and/or enrich the subject-related syntactic and grammatical structures of the French language

5th Unit
Title: The digestive system
Objectives:
Nutrition and health
I observe and comment on the anatomical projection of the digestive system
I am learning medical French terminology related to the anatomy of the digestive system and its basic functions
I understand and/or enrich the subject-related syntactic and grammatical structures of the French language

6th Unit
Title: The musculoskeletal system
Objectives:
I observe and comment on the anatomical projection of the musculoskeletal system
I am learning medical French terminology related to the anatomy of the musculoskeletal system and its basic functions
I understand and/or enrich the subject-related syntactic and grammatical structures of the French language
Repetition of the material taught in units 1 to 5

Title: The urinary system
Objectives:
I observe and comment on the anatomical view of the urinary system
I am learning medical French terminology related to the anatomy of the urinary system and its basic functions
I understand and/or enrich the subject-related syntactic and grammatical structures of the French language

9th Unit
Title: The endocrine system
Objectives:
I observe and comment on the anatomical projection of the endocrine system
I am learning medical French terminology related to the anatomy of the endocrine system and its basic functions
I understand and/or enrich the subject-related syntactic and grammatical structures of the French language

10th Unit
Title: The sensory organs
Objectives:
I observe and annotate the anatomical diagram of the sense organs
I am learning medical French terminology related to the anatomy of the sense organs and their basic functions
I understand and/or enrich the subject-related syntactic and grammatical structures of the French language

11th Unit
Title: The female reproductive system
Objectives:
I observe and comment on the anatomical projection of the female reproductive system
I am learning medical French terminology related to the anatomy of the female reproductive system and its basic functions

12th Unit
Title: The male reproductive system
Objectives:
I observe and comment on the anatomical projection of the male reproductive system

13th Section
Title: Biology, biochemistry and physics in Medicine
Objectives:
I familiarize myself with basic terminology related to the above sciences
I read and understand a blood ionogram
Repetitive lesson in the taught material of units 6 to 13. Preparation for the exams
