Objective Objectives/Desired Results:
  • The overall aim of the course is to introduce students to the fundamentals of functional, plastic and reconstructive surgery of the head and neck region and to enable them to diagnose and treat surgically related head and neck skin conditions. Furthermore, the course seeks to provide students with the fundamentals of dealing with traumatic head and neck injuries.
  • The specific objectives of the course are specialized in the following intended learning outcomes:

Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:

He/she will be able to use the acquired knowledge in order to:

  • They diagnose the most frequent surgical diseases of neoplastic etiology of the skin of the head and neck.
  • They diagnose traumatic head and neck injuries
  • Familiarize themselves with the principles of initial treatment of head and neck trauma
  • To be trained in suturing wounds and basic skin flaps
