ANNOUNCEMENT OF ELECTION PROCEEDINGS
for the nomination of representatives
of the members of the Laboratory Teaching Staff (EDIP)
of the Clinical Laboratory Sector
at the General Assembly of the Clinical Laboratory Sector
of the Department of Medicine, SEY, University of Thessaly
with an annual term from 01.09.2025 to 31.08.2026

The Director of the Clinical Laboratory Sector, Professor of Hygiene and Epidemiology Christos Hatzichristodoulou, taking into account:
1. The provisions of articles 34, 40, 41, 412 and 413 of Law 4957/2022 (Government Gazette 141/21.07.2022).
2. The provisions of article 7 of CHAPTER B, of 123024/Ζ1/06.10.2022 Joint Ministerial Decree of the Ministers of Education and Religious Affairs and State "PROCEDURE FOR NOMINATION OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE MEMBERS OF TEACHING AND RESEARCH STAFF (D.E.P.), SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL STAFF (E.E.P.), LABORATORY TEACHING STAFF (ED.D.I.P.) AND SPECIAL TECHNICAL LABORATORY STAFF (E.T.E.P.) AND STUDENT REPRESENTATIVES" (Government Gazette 5220/issue B'/07.10.2022),
3. The 119929/Ζ1/30.09.2022 circular of the Ministry of Education "D. Formation and operation of the collective bodies of the academic units of HEIs - Appointment and operation of single-person bodies of academic units".
4. The provisions of article 192 of Law 4823/2021, "Upgrading the school, strengthening teachers and other provisions" (A' 136).
5. Ministerial Decision No. 5204/11-11-2021, "Operation of the ZEUS digital ballot box" (B' 5244).
6. The Certifying Act of the Rector of the University of Thessaly on the subject: “Election of Directors of the Department of Medicine of the School of Health Sciences of the University of Thessaly” (APA: 9ΧΠΤ469Β7Ξ-ΑΧ3).
7. The provisions of articles 76, 77, 79 and 80 of Law 4727/2020 «Digital Governance (Incorporation into Greek Law of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 and Directive (EU) 2019/1024) Electronic Communications (Incorporation into Greek Law of Directive (EU) 2018/1972) and other provisions» (A'184)

He proclaims

Elections for the appointment of a representative of the EDIP members of the Clinical Laboratory Sector at the General Assembly of the Clinical Laboratory Sector of the Department of Medicine of the School of Health Sciences of the University of Thessaly for a term of one (1) year, from 01/09/2025 to 31/08/2026, on June 12, 2025, Thursday, from 10:00 to 12:00.
Those interested submit their application exclusively electronically at the email address athanas@uth.gr, until Sunday, May 11. Every member of the Clinical Laboratory Sector's Laboratory Committee has the right to submit a candidacy for the position of representative, provided that he/she does not leave the service during the announced term. Candidates may resign from their candidacy no later than ten (10) days before the date of the vote. The resignation of the candidate is made exclusively electronically to the address athanas@uth.gr, which is addressed to the body to which the candidacy is submitted in accordance with the above. Applications for candidacy and resignations are registered by the competent services of the AEI, so that the date of their submission is indicated and are forwarded to the Elections Body.
The Elections Conducting Body (ECB) will be appointed after the deadline for submitting applications by electronic voting in accordance with applicable legislation. The election will be held exclusively by electronic voting through the Special Information System ("ZEUS Digital Ballot Box") of the National Network of Technology and Research Infrastructures SA (https://zeus.grnet.gr), under the supervision of the ECB.

The Administrator O.D.E. checks whether the candidates meet the eligibility conditions, announces the candidates, prepares a single ballot with all the candidates and supervises the conduct of the voting. It extracts the results, announces the elected representative and sends the election record to the competent body.
In case of a barren election process, it is repeated on the next working day, when the candidate who collects the relative majority of valid votes is elected. If there is a tie, an electronic lottery is conducted using the "ZEUS Digital Ballot" system between the candidates who voted in a tie.
The body of electors is made up of the EDIP members who serve in the Laboratories of the Clinical Laboratory Sector.
