ANNOUNCEMENT OF ELECTION PROCEEDINGS
for the nomination of the representative of the members
of Special Technical Laboratory Personnel (ETEP) with his deputy at the Assembly of
Department of Medicine, SEY, University of Thessaly with an annual term from 01.09.2024 to 31.08.2025
The President of the Department of Medicine, bearing in mind:
- The provisions of article 29 of Law 4957/2022 (Official Gazette 141/21.07.2022), "1. The Department Assembly consists of: a) the President of the Department, b) the Vice-President of the Department, c) the Directors of the Departments, if there are Departments in the Department, d) twenty percent (20%) of the members of the D.E.P. who serve in each Sector, if the total number of D.E.P. members who serve in the Department are from one hundred (100) to two hundred (200)..", e) one (1) representative from each category of members of Special Educational Staff (E.E.P.), Laboratory Teaching Staff (E.D.I.P.) and Special Technical Laboratory Staff (E.T.E.P.) of the Department, as long as he serves as a member of the corresponding category
- The provisions of article 6 of CHAPTER B, of 123024/Z1/06.10.2022 Official Decree of the Ministers of Education and Religion and State "PROCEDURE FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE TEACHING RESEARCH STAFF (D.E.P.), SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL STAFF (E.E.P.), LABORATORY TEACHING STAFF (E.D.P.) AND SPECIAL TECHNICAL LABORATORY STAFF (E.P.) T .E.P.) AND STUDENT REPRESENTATIVES" (Official Gazette 5220/t. B΄/07.10.2022),

- The provisions of article 192 of Law 4823/2021, "Upgrading the school, empowering teachers and other provisions" (A΄ 136).
- No. 5204/11-11-2021 Ministerial Decision, "Operation of the ZEUS digital ballot box" (Β΄ 5244).
- Official Gazette 785/YODD/31-12-2022 regarding the election of the President and Deputy President of the Department of Medicine of the School of Health Sciences of the University of Thessaly for a term of two (2) years from 1-9-2022 to 31-8-2024.
- The provisions of articles 76, 77, 79 and 80 of Law 4727/2020 "Digital Governance (Incorporation into Greek Legislation of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 and Directive (EU) 2019/1024) Electronic Communications (Incorporation into Greek Law of Directive (EU) 2018/1972) and other provisions" (Α΄184)
He proclaims
Elections on Thursday 06 June 2024, starting time 09.00 a.m.-12.00 p.m. for the appointment of a representative of the members of the Special Technical Laboratory Staff (ETEP) with his deputy in the Assembly of the Department of Medicine, SEY, University of Thessaly with an annual term from 01.09.2024 to 31.08.2025.
The elections will be held by universal, direct and secret voting, carried out exclusively electronically through the special information system called "ZEUS Digital Ballot" of the Greek public limited company, under the name "National Network of Technology and Research Infrastructures S.A. » (EDYTE S.A.), according to Official Gazette 5220/t.B΄/07.10.2022.
Those interested should submit their candidacy, with their application exclusively online, to the Secretariat of the Department of Medicine, at the electronic address g-med@uth.gr, from Saturday, April 13, 2024 until Sunday, May 12, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. Any candidate may withdraw his candidacy. Resignation is made by written declaration, exclusively electronically at the email address g-med@uth.gr, which is submitted to the competent body for the issuance of the notice in accordance with its terms and is immediately forwarded to the Elections Conducting Body (ODE), no later than the tenth day before the voting is held.
All ETEP members have the right to apply for the position of representative in the Department Assembly, provided that they do not leave the service during the term for which the position is announced and are not on leave unpaid or suspended during the election. The nominations are submitted before the competent body for the issuance of the notice and forwarded to the Elections Conducting Body (ODE).
The electoral body for the selection of a representative from the category of members of Special Technical Laboratory Staff (ETEP) and his deputy consists of all the members of the relevant category of special teaching staff, who serve in the academic unit, according to time of the elections. Any staff on suspension or unpaid leave is excluded from the electoral body.
The electoral rolls are drawn up by the competent administrative service of A.E.I. and include the following information: first and last name, patronymic, email address, Department or Unitary School that the elector serves. The electoral rolls are delivered to the O.D.E. and are posted on the website of A.E.I. or of the academic unit, if the electoral process concerns an academic unit, so that each voter can check if he is included among them. If a voter finds that he is not included in the electoral rolls, while he has the right to participate in the electoral process, he may submit a request before the O.D.E. in order to be included in the electoral roll and the O.D.E. by his decision he accepts or rejects the request with reasons.
A three-member Electoral Committee consisting of three (3) regular and an equal number of substitute members is defined as the Election Conducting Body (EBO). Under the supervision of the competent body for the publication of the announcement, an electronic lottery is conducted to select the members of the Electoral Committee from among all the members of the relevant category of personnel serving at A.E.I. or the corresponding academic unit, excluding members who have applied by category. If the number of serving members per staff category is less than six (6) and is not sufficient to elect a three-member Electoral Committee, one (1) member per staff category is selected by electronic lottery, who assumes the duties of the O.D. .E.
When voting, each voter may choose one (1) candidate. As representative of each category of staff, the one who collected the largest number of votes is elected, and as his deputy, the next candidate in order of preference.
If the process is unsuccessful, it will be repeated on the next working day, i.e. Friday 07 June 2024, at 09:00 am. to 12:00 p.m. (Greece time), in accordance with the provisions of Joint Ministerial Decision No. 123024/Z1/06.10.2022 (Β΄ 5220).
If there is a tie between the candidates, an electronic lottery is conducted using the "ZEUS Digital Ballot" system among those who voted in a tie. Within seven (7) days from the completion of the electoral process, from all the elected representatives of the members of the E.E.P., E.D.I.P. and E.T.E.P. at the Assembly of the Department, one (1) representative is selected by secret ballot from among them, with his deputy, who participates in the Board of Directors of the Department in accordance with par. 1 of article 31 of Law 4957/2022 or par. d) of paragraph 2 of article 22 of Law 4957/2022 respectively. The term of office of the representative is annual, starting on September 1 of each academic year and ending on August 31 of the same academic year.
