SUBJECT: "Announcement for the position of Director of the Pediatric Clinic of the Mother-Child Section of the Department of Medicine of the School of Health Sciences of the University of Thessaly"

The Director of the Department of Mother and Child, Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Mr. Alexandros Daponte, taking into account the provisions of Article 55 of Law 4957/2022, Article 4 of PART B of the Ministry's Order 123024/Z1/06-10-2022 of Education & Religion and of the Ministry of the Territory as well as chapter E of the Circular of the Ministry of Education & Religion with protocol number 119929/Z1/30.09.2022.

DECIDE TO CALL ELECTIONS 

for the nomination of the Director of the Pediatric Clinic of the Mother-Child Section of the Department of Medicine of the School of Health Sciences of the University of Thessaly

Interested parties are invited to apply to the Secretariat of the Mother-Child Sector from 08/04/2024 until 22/04/2024 with their application exclusively online at kariotou@uth.gr. Candidates may withdraw their candidacy until the start of the election process. The resignation of the candidate is made exclusively electronically at the address kariotou@uth.gr, which is addressed to the body to which the nomination is submitted in accordance with the above. Applications for nominations and resignations are recorded by the competent services of A.E.I., so that the date of their submission can be obtained.
The election will be held on Monday 13/05/2024 and by time 09:00 to 15:00, exclusively by electronic vote through the Special Information System ("ZEUS Digital Ballot") of the National Technology and Research Infrastructure Network SA, in accordance with the provisions of Ministerial Decision No. 147084/1/16.11.2021 (Government Gazette 5364/19.11. 2021 sq. B'). The above system can be accessed from the online address https://zeus.grnet.gr. The Election Conducting Body (ODE) is responsible for conducting the election process, for the monitoring of the Director's election process, the Director of the Sector is appointed. Anyone who gathers the absolute majority of the valid votes of the members of the electoral body or at least one third (1/3) of the valid votes of the members of the special electoral body, if there is only one candidate, is elected as Director of the Clinic. If there is a tie or no candidate has obtained an absolute majority, the vote is repeated on the next working day between the candidates who tied for the first (1st) and second (2nd) places. In case of a new barren election process, it is repeated on the next working day, when the candidate who collects the relative majority of valid votes is elected. If there is a tie, a draw is conducted by the leader in front of the candidates who voted in a tie.
Every D.E.P. member has the right to submit a nomination for the position of Director. full-time, of the rank of Professor or Associate Professor, serving in the clinic, provided that he does not leave the service during the announced term. Especially for the clinics, the condition for submitting a nomination is the possession of the same or related knowledge object as that of the clinic, while exceptionally a member of the D.E.P. can submit a nomination. who leaves the service during the announced term if he is the only D.E.P. member. serving in the clinic or if there are no other nominations. Holding the position of Director of a University Clinic is not incompatible with holding another office of a single-member governing body of the Higher Education Institution (A.E.I.) or with the status of a member of a collective body of the A.E.I.
The electoral body for the nomination of the Director of the Clinic consists of: a) If the clinic is self-sufficient and all the members of the D.E.P. who have been appointed and serve in it at least five (5) members of the D.E.P. regardless of rank, full-time and part-time, including serving lecturers, who are placed and serve in the clinic in accordance with article 57 of Law 4957/2022 respectively, at the time of the elections, excluding those who are on suspension or on leave without remuneration according to par. 2 of article 40 of Law 4957/2022. b) If the clinic is not self-sufficient and all full-time and part-time members of the Faculty of Medicine, regardless of rank, including serving lecturers, who serve in the academic unit to which the clinic belongs (Division, Department or School) according to the time of the elections, excluding those who are suspended or on unpaid leave in accordance with paragraph 2 of article 40 of Law 4957/2022.
