HAS DECIDED
THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF ELECTIONS
Interested parties are invited to submit their candidacy to the Secretariat of the Department of Pathology from 18/05/2026 until 01/06/2026, by sending their application exclusively online to the email address g-tomeaspathologias@uth.gr. Candidates may withdraw their candidacy up to the start of the election process, via a written statement sent to the same email address. This request must be submitted to the competent authority and forwarded to the Elections Conducting Body (ECB) at least ten days before the election date, with all submissions formally registered
Interested parties are invited to apply to the Secretariat of the Department of Pathology from 18/05/2026 to 01/06/2026 with their application exclusively online at the address g-tomeaspathologias@uth.gr. Candidates may withdraw their candidacy until the start of the election process. The withdrawal is made exclusively electronically at the following address: g-tomeaspathologias@uth.gr with a written statement which is submitted before the competent body for the issuance of the notice in accordance with its terms and is transmitted immediately to the Elections Body (O.D.E.), no later than the tenth day before the voting. Applications for candidacies and resignations are registered by the competent services of the A.E.I., so that the date of their submission can be determined.
The election will take place on Monday, 22/06/2026, from 09:00 to 14:00, exclusively via electronic voting through the Special Information System ("Digital Ballot Box ZEUS") of the National Electronic Infrastructures for Research and Technology S.A. (GRNET), in accordance with the provisions of Ministerial Decision No. 147084/Z1/16.11.2021 (Government Gazette 5364/19.11.2021 issue B). Access to the system is available at the web address https://zeus.grnet.gr. The Election Conducting Body (ECB) holds the responsibility for conducting the electoral process. To monitor the election process of the Director, the Director of the Department is appointed, provided they are not a candidate themselves. If they are a candidate, the management of the electoral process is undertaken by their legal alternate, if available; otherwise, it is managed by the most senior Faculty Member serving in the academic unit. Following the expiration of the candidacy submission deadline, the ECB reviews the submitted candidacies to verify that each candidate meets the eligibility criteria and faces no eligibility impediments. Upon completion of the review, the ECB proclaims the candidates and drafts a single ballot that includes the candidates for each office or announced position in alphabetical order. A short curriculum vitae (CV) of each candidate may be posted on the website of the Higher Education Institution or the specific academic unit involved in the electoral process, if the candidate so wishes.
