The Hellenic Society of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeons and the University Cardiothoracic Surgery Clinic of the University General Hospital of Larissa invite you to the informational event for the public, "HEART STEPS - BREATHS OF LIFE", which will be held at the historic Katsigra Mansion of the Medical School of Thessaly, on September 27th from 09:45pm -12:30pm.
The event aims to raise awareness and inform the public about the prevention and early diagnosis of Cardiovascular diseases and Lung Cancer.
On the occasion of World Heart Day, celebrated on September 29, lectures will be given by our distinguished colleagues with the aim of informing about the importance of proper nutrition, physical exercise, smoking cessation, mental health and regular medical monitoring in promoting health. We will dispel myths about the female heart and the electronic cigarette and we will speak in an understandable way about the latest therapeutic developments in the treatment of Heart Disease and Lung Cancer.
As part of the action, a walk will take place after the end of the informative event, starting at Post Office Square, passing by the city's Ancient Theater and ending at the Hippocrates monument, symbolically conveying the message: movement is Life.
Athletes and administrative staff of the Larissa Athletic Union (AEL), which actively supports similar actions, will actively participate in the event.

The event's communication sponsor is the journalistic organization 21admedia. The Olympos dairy will quench our thirst during the route. We thank the Larissa Traffic Police for their substantial contribution to the realization of our symbolic walk.
