Orthopedic Clinic ΤΥ – Sports Injuries Symposium with APKASS-ESSKA Fellows 2024 – Larissa 29.4.2024
The European Society for Surgery of the Knee, Arthroscopy and Sports Injuries (ESSKA) and the corresponding Scientific Society of Asia and the Pacific (APKASS) have since 15 years recognized the Orthopedic Clinic of the University Hospital of Larissa as an accredited Training Center, and for the 5th time they have chosen it as a visiting station for a group of Orthopedic Surgeon Fellows from Thailand, Japan, China and Taiwan, who will be hosted in Larissa from April 27 to May 1, 2024.
This specific selection is particularly honorable and was made based on the scope of the scientific work of the Orthopedic Clinic of the University Hospital of Larissa and the published experience of its staff in the specific field of knowledge.
The program of the visit includes a scientific evening, which will be held at auditorium 1 of the Department of Medicine on April 29 at 4:30 p.m, with lectures by the visiting Doctors and the executives of the University clinic.
The expedition is headed by the internationally renowned Professor Bancha Chernchujit from Khlong Luang (Thailand), who is accompanied by doctors Harato Kengo from Tokyo (Japan), Xiliang Shang from Shanghai (China) and Weng Chun-Jui (Jim) from Kaohsiung (Taiwan).
The visitors will watch special surgical operations and there will be an exchange of experiences and techniques for the problems and diseases of the knee and shoulder.
As part of the hospitality provided by the Orthopedic Clinic of the University Hospital of Larissa, visits and guided tours of the Doctors in Vergina, Olympus and Meteora have been planned.
It should be noted that, in their travel scholarship, Larissa is the fourth stop (Istanbul, Amsterdam, Bologna will precede it), followed by Vienna and Basel, ending with Milan, where the 21st Scientific Conference of the European Society will take place of Knee Surgery, Arthroscopy and Sports Injuries (ESSKA).
The lectures will be held in Greek with English slides and admission is free for the public.
