POSITION DESCRIPTION

Urology is a recognized main medical specialty and aims to diagnose and treat diseases of the genitourinary system. It covers a very large field of practice for both adults and children and therefore includes a number of subspecialties (pediatric urology, neurourology, urogenital oncology, gynecological urology, andrology, endourology). The main field of application is the surgical treatment of diseases of the urinary and genital system. It is a rapidly evolving specialty due to the rapid development and application of new technological techniques (endoscopic – laparoscopic – robotic surgery). It requires excellent knowledge of modern methods of laboratory and imaging techniques that, in combination with new technologies, are applied to the surgical treatment of patients.

The position requires clinical experience across the spectrum of imaging and surgical techniques, educational experience at the undergraduate and postgraduate level and particularly in innovative teaching methods, as well as research experience.
