Invitation to submit applications within the framework of the "Granting of awards to groups of students who have nominated or distinguished themselves in international competitions" program
The State Scholarship Foundation, after the successful execution of the program for awarding prizes to groups of students who excelled or distinguished themselves in international competitions in the year 2022 (article 2, Joint Ministerial Decision 136877/Ζ1/26-10-2021, Government Gazette no. 5021/issue B'/29-10-2021), announces the implementation of the award program for student groups that excelled or distinguished themselves in international competitions for the year 2023, as follows:
Groups of students from Greek universities who have won or distinguished themselves in an international competition are eligible to participate. The application is completed by the scientific manager of the group, on the special application form posted on the IKY website and sent to IKY through the Department Secretariat.
The application must be accompanied by the required supporting documents specified therein, which aim to describe the scientific field and the theme of the competition, to document its importance and significance, and to describe the participating team.
Applications must be received by IKY within one month of the team's distinction..
The deadline for submitting applications begins from the date of this announcement, with an end date of 15-12-2023. Applications regarding group distinctions achieved up to one month prior to the date of the announcement are also accepted.
The applications submitted by the relevant Secretariats within the deadline (within one month of the team's distinction), in the year 2023, will be examined in their entirety, for comparative evaluation purposes, by the Board of Directors of IKY within the month of December 2023, in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 3 of article 2 of the above Joint Ministerial Decision of the program.
The award concerns a gross lump sum payment of €500.00 per participating student, which is deposited directly by the Greek National Social Security Fund into the bank account of each eligible student.
