Competence Centers are public-private structures created to bridge the gap between supply and demand of specialized services/innovation products and technology transfer in one or more value chains.
In the framework of the implementation of the Action "COMPETENCE CENTERS" ten (10) new legal entities-Competence Centers were established by dynamic businesses and research institutions, covering real needs of important sectors of the country, critical for society and the national economy. They relate to the priority areas of the Research and Innovation Strategy for Smart Specialization (RIS3): Information & Communications Technologies, Agri-Food, Energy, Health & Pharmaceuticals and Materials – Construction.
The Action was co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of the European Union and by national resources through the EP. Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship & Innovation (EPANEK).
The day is dedicated to the presentation of the results of the ten integrated projects of the Action. Specifically, it presents the identity and the innovative services/products that each Competence Center has developed and is able to provide, the groups of beneficiaries/users it addresses in order to increase their productivity and improve their competitiveness, and finally the so far its actions to penetrate the domestic and international market.
During the conference, interested parties will be able to communicate directly with the representatives of the Competence Centers, in a suitably configured space in the atrium of the amphitheater, in order to further inform them of the operation and specialized capabilities of each Center.
