Academic Identity beneficiaries
All students of the Universities of Greece are entitled to an Academic Identity Card.
However, beneficiaries of an Academic ID, with the validity of a Special Ticket (PASO), are:
- Full-time students of the first cycle of studies (undergraduate level), provided they are not already holders of a university degree, for the number of years required to obtain the degree according to the indicative study programme, increased by two (2) additional years.
- Part-time students of the first cycle of studies (undergraduate level), provided they are not already holders of a university degree, for a period equal to twice the number of years required to obtain the degree according to the indicative curriculum.
- Students of the second cycle of studies (postgraduate level) who are not already holders of a postgraduate degree, for the duration of their studies as defined by the respective indicative postgraduate study programme.
- Students of the third cycle of studies (doctoral level), provided they are not already holders of a doctoral degree, for four (4) years from the date of their registration.
- Students who are citizens of Member States of the European Union or third countries, who study at a Greek University within the framework of the European Union mobility programme “Erasmus”, for the duration of their studies at the host Greek University.
Interruption of student status for any reason automatically entails termination of the right to hold the Academic ID, which in this case should be returned to the Secretariat of the relevant Faculty.
The process of obtaining an Academic Identity is carried out through the website http://academicid.minedu.gov.gr .
