How to Treat your Patient

HelMSIC organizes for the 4th consecutive year the program "How to Treat your Patient - Day for approaching a patient who has suffered abuse".

The program includes speeches by a representative of the Committee for Gender Equality of the Universities and by a clinical forensic pathologist, a thematic session with interactive methods and a peer education workshop that will be delivered by medical students specially trained as sex education instructors, active members of HelMSIC. The content of the talks includes general information and statistical data on Gender Violence and its prevalence in Greece and clinical signs of patients who have suffered abuse, while the session includes the concept of "Interdisciplinarity" in understanding the phenomenon of abuse. Finally, the workshop will present the protocols for the management of abused patients, and the participants will practice their implementation.

The conference will take place on 27/11 at 15:30 – 19:30. More information about the event will be communicated to the participants by the Organizing Committee of the program.

Participation in How to Treat your Patient is free and a certificate of participation will be awarded.

To participate in the program, pre-registration is required in the form below. Participants will be selected based on completing the relevant motivation question.
