Instructions for Conducting Ranking Exams for the Academic Year 2023-2024

Method of conducting examinations in accordance with ministerial decision Φ1/192329/Β3/13-12-2013 (art. 7)

a) In the rooms where the qualifying exams will be held, all appropriate measures are taken for their smooth conduct. A list of candidates is posted at the entrance of each examination room according to the protocol number of their application.

b) To verify the identity of each candidate it is presented by him ID card or other official public document certification of his identity.

c) On the first day of the exams, candidates are required to be at the exam venue one (1) hour earlier. On other days, they are required to arrive half an hour (30 minutes) earlier.

d) Colored inks, other than blue and black, and any other identifying element in the written essay exclude the written essay from grading.

e) Any candidate who leaves the room surrenders his or her written paper and does not have the right to return to continue the examination. Exceptionally, only for health reasons is it allowed to leave the room for a few minutes and only accompanied by a supervisor.

f) Candidates are not allowed to enter the examination room with books, notebooks, notes or other items except as permitted under the instructions of the Ranking Committee. Anyone who refuses to hand over the prohibited items will be denied entry by the invigilator who controls the attendance of candidates. The examinee who has with him notes related to the course or subject being examined other than those permitted or copies or attempts to copy or uses any kind of interception means or cooperates in the performance of such acts is completely excluded from the examinations of the particular course. In case the candidate writes indecent expressions in the essay, his essay is excluded from the grading process. In any case, candidates are not allowed to bring mobile phones or electronic devices of any kind with them. The candidate who cheats in any way or obstructs the smooth conduct of the exams through disobedience or disorder is excluded from further examination in the specific course.

g) In the written essay, the indications with the individual details of the candidate are checked by the invigilators and covered by the candidate himself with the responsibility of the invigilators in an absolute and opaque manner, at the time each written essay is delivered.

h) The invigilators take the candidates' written essays and hand them over to the Ranking Committee which is responsible for their security. Essays may not be submitted to both graders at the same time or to the second grader before the first grader's grade has been covered. The grade is filled by an employee appointed by the Ranking Committee.

i) The examination duration of each course, as well as any material that the candidate must have for the examination, are determined by a decision of the Assembly of the Department of the University or of the TEI. or of A.S.PAI.TE. and are announced at least five (5) days before the examination. The examination duration of each course is defined as two (2) hours. In any case, the examination ends with the submission of the penultimate candidate's written essay. Candidates are not allowed to leave the exam room before one (1) hour has passed since the start of the exam. Any candidate who leaves the room surrenders his or her writing and does not have the right to return to continue the examination. Exceptionally and only for health reasons, it is allowed to leave the room for a few minutes and only with the escort of a supervisor.

j) Revision or revision of candidates' written essays is not allowed. Candidates have the right to access their written essays, which includes providing them with the requested copies. Candidates' written essays are kept in the Department's archive for at least one (1) year after the announcement of the results and then, under the responsibility of the Ranking Committee, a relevant record is drawn up and destroyed.

k) The Classification Committee announces the results of the examinations and posts them on the official website of the Institution.

l) The Secretariat of the Department of the University announces the registration dates of those registered.
