The Departments Medicine of the School of Health Sciences and of Physical Education and Sports Science of the Faculty of Science of Physical Education, Sports and Dietetics of the University of Thessaly, operate an Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program, entitled: "Exercise, Ergospirometry and Rehabilitation".
Interested prospective postgraduate students are invited for the acad. year 2024-2025 to submit the following supporting documents to the DPMS Secretariat:
- Application for Participation (at the Secretariat & on the DPMS website).
- Detailed curriculum vitae (CV form at the Secretariat & on the DPMS website).

- Transcript.
- Scientific publications, distinctions, evidence of professional or research activity (if any).
- Evidence of professional experience (if any).
- Photocopy of two sides of the police ID.
- Evidence of foreign languages (In special cases language skills will be judged by the Selection Committee)
- Two photo IDs
- Two letters of recommendation
In order to obtain the Diploma of Postgraduate Studies (M.D.S.) the completion is required 90ECTS.

The D.P.M.S. of the Department of Medicine and the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science of the University of Thessaly, aims at the specialization of graduate scientists, the understanding of rehabilitation methods and the promotion of health through established methods of physical activity. University and TEI graduates from a wide scientific field have the opportunity to specialize in Exercise, Ergospirometry and Rehabilitation, an area of particular interest.
In D.P.M.S. graduates of the Departments of Medicine, Science of Physical Education and Sports, Polytechnic Schools, Nursing, Physiotherapy and related specialties of the Universities of the country or corresponding departments of recognized institutions abroad, as well as TEI graduates of a related subject are accepted. The number of admissions is a maximum of 40.
The DPMS lasts three academic semesters, begins in the winter semester and includes the mandatory attendance and successful evaluation of the courses that are developed within three semesters.
The DPMS courses are held approximately once a month from Thursday to Saturday (part of the courses are held via distance education in accordance with the legal provisions.)
The courses take place in the facilities of the Department of Medicine or the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science.
Tuition/tuition fees amount to €2,800 for the entire duration of studies and are paid in three installments at the beginning of each semester.
