The Department of Medicine of the University of Thessaly announces the operation of the Postgraduate Studies Program (MSP) entitled "BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH METHODOLOGY, BIOSTATISTICS AND CLINICAL BIOINFORMATION" for the academic year 2023-2024, which leads to the awarding of a Postgraduate Diploma.

The PMS aims to provide a high level of education and expertise in biomedical and clinical research methodology, applied biostatistics and bioinformatics and prepares prospective postgraduate students for a professional career in an Academic/Research environment, in Informatics/Statistical Studies companies or in the Pharmaceutical Industry/ Biotechnology (as clinical research curators-CRAs, medical science coordinators-MSLs, medical consultants, IT technicians, database managers, data analysts, statistical and bioinformatics consultants).

The PMS provides theoretical and practical background for the Design, Conduct and Statistical Analysis of Clinical Studies, Processing and Interpretation of Biomedical (and Genetic) Data, Biomedical Database Management, Decision Making based on Systematic Review and Meta-analysis.

The following are admitted to the PMS: Holders of a degree from health sciences, positive, biological, economic, humanities, polytechnic or agricultural schools of universities of the country or corresponding recognized equivalent Institutions abroad. Graduates of TEI departments with related subjects are also accepted.

The duration of the PMS studies is one year, starting on 7/10/2023.

Interested prospective postgraduate students must submit by September 4th to the Program Secretariat electronically at the address https://biomath.med.uth.gr/el/online-application-form (all documents compressed in a zip or rar file) the following supporting documents: 1) Application for Participation (https://biomath.med.uth.gr/el/khrisima-etipia), 2) Copy of Degree/Diploma, 3) Certificate of Analytical Grade (with exact M.O.), 4) Detailed curriculum vitae, 5) Scientific Publications/Awards (if any), 6) Evidence of professional experience (if any), 7) Additional qualifications (special seminars, studies, etc.), 8) Two letters of recommendation, 9) Two identity photos (after the candidate has been selected), 10) Copy of police ID, 11) Evidence of knowledge of foreign languages. The evaluation of candidates will take place in two phases online: 14 July and 8 September 2023.
