Announcement - Invitation year 2024-2025
Call for Applications for the academic year 2024-2025.
The Departments of Physical Education and Sports Science (TEFAA), Medicine and Dietetics and Nutrition of the University of Thessaly invite interested parties to apply to attend the English-language Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program, entitled: "Lifestyle Medicine" and distinctive title in English "Lifestyle Medicine» for the academic year 2024-2025.
Interested parties are invited to submit the following supporting documents to the Secretariat of the DPMS from October 16, 2023 until January 15, 2024 (by email, in pdf format, to the email address: msc-lm@uth.gr).

Graduates of Medicine, T.E.F.A.A., Dietetics, Nutrition, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Midwifery, Polytechnic Schools and related specialties are accepted at DPMS as well as TEI graduates of a related subject.
PROGRAM DURATION: 18 months in 3 semesters.
Attending the courses, remotely and online, is mandatory. The official language of the Program is English.
In order to obtain the Diploma of Graduate Studies (D.M.S.) it is necessary to complete 90 ECTS, which result from attending courses and preparing a Master's Thesis.
In detail:
1st and 2nd semester
- The teaching of each thematic unit (1The and 2The semester), will have a duration of 12 weeks and its teaching time will be two 60-minute teaching hours per week of teaching with the intensive teaching method of 4 periods per semester (block teaching).
- The seminar cycle (1The and 2The semester), will have a duration of 4 weeks and its teaching time will be two 60-minute teaching hours per week of teaching with the intensive teaching method of 4 periods per semester (block teaching).
- Teaching will be carried out remotely and/or in person, in accordance with current legislation. The distance training will be carried out through a special electronic training platform (MsTeams/Microsoft) and will be synchronized, while at the same time there will be a recording of the presentations for the possibility of repetition through an asynchronous process.
3rd semester
- The laboratory cycle (3rd semester), will last up to 2 full weeks of life monitoring, will include training in 4 laboratory/research units and will take place in the facilities of the infrastructure of the University of Thessaly in Trikala and Larissa and/or the European Lifestyle Medicine Organization (ELMO) in Geneva.
- Implementation of a Master's Thesis.
DPMS tuition fees amount to €6,000. Tuition fees will be paid in two equal installments, the first installment upon registration and the second installment upon commencement of 2u semester.
