"NUTRITION IN HEALTH AND ILLNESS"

INVITATION FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

Το Τμήμα Ιατρικής του Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλίας καλεί τους ενδιαφερόμενους να υποβάλουν υποψηφιότητα για την παρακολούθηση του Προγράμματος Μεταπτυχιακών Σπουδών (Π.Μ.Σ.) «Η Διατροφή στην Υγεία και στη Νόσο» για το ακαδημαϊκό έτος 2025-2026.

The postgraduate studies in the above P.M.S. lead to obtaining a Master's Degree Diploma "Nutrition in Health and Disease", after a 3-semester study cycle, in the Greek language, which includes the attendance of postgraduate courses, the preparation of a diploma thesis and an internship, with a total of 90 credits (ECTS).

The study program in the semesters is as follows:

1^The six months

1. The balanced diet. Assessment of Eating Disorders and Deficits (ECTS:5)
2. Population dietary patterns. Food preservatives, preservation, freezing, canning, modified (ECTS:5)
3. Dietary factors and nutritional disorders in diseases of the digestive tract, liver and pancreas (ECTS:5)
4. Dietary factors and nutritional disorders in diseases of the nervous, respiratory, cardiovascular system and in diseases of the kidneys, ureters and bladder (ECTS:5)
5. Dietary factors and nutritional disorders in psychiatric, endocrinological, ophthalmological diseases and diseases of the musculoskeletal system and skin (ECTS:5)
6. Dietary factors and eating disorders in pregnancy, children, the elderly and ICU patients (ECTS:5)

2^The six months

1. Obesity, morbid obesity, bariatric (ECTS: 6)
2. Therapeutic treatment of eating disorders and deficits (ECTS: 6)
3. Dietary supplements, probiotics, eubiotics, enteral and parenteral nutrition preparations (ECTS: 6)
4. Research Methodology (ECTS: 2)
5. Master's Thesis Preparation (ECTS: 10)

3^The six months

1. Internship (ECTS: 10)
2. Master's Thesis (ECTS: 20)

TOTAL: 90 ECTS

Η έναρξη των μαθημάτων του Π.Μ.Σ. θα γίνει τον Οκτώβριο του 2025 και μέρος των μαθημάτων θα πραγματοποιηθεί εξ αποστάσεως.

The tuition fees amount to 3,000 euros (€1,000 upon the announcement of the results, €1,000 before the start of the 2nd semester, 500€ upon the start of the Diploma Thesis and 500€ before the start of the 3rd semester).

Στο Π.Μ.Σ. γίνονται δεκτοί πτυχιούχοι ΑΕΙ και πρώην ΑΤΕΙ (ή τελειόφοιτοι ΑΕΙ, εφόσον αποφοιτήσουν μέχρι τον Οκτώβριο του 2025) Σχολών Επιστημών Υγείας, Θετικών Επιστημών, Γεωπονικών Επιστημών, Χημείας, Περιβάλλοντος και άλλων Τμημάτων Πανεπιστημίων της ημεδαπής ή αντίστοιχων τμημάτων της αλλοδαπής, πτυχιούχοι λοιπών συναφών με το αντικείμενο του Προγράμματος Τμημάτων ΑΕΙ  και πρώην ΑΤΕΙ, καθώς και πτυχιούχοι άλλων ΑΕΙ και πρώην ΑΤΕΙ που εργάζονται σε τομείς που αφορούν τη δίαιτα, τη διατροφή και τα τρόφιμα.

Η διαδικασία επιλογής θα βασίζεται στους φακέλους υποψηφιότητας και θα γίνει με κριτήρια όπως ο βαθμός πτυχίου, η γνώση ξένων γλωσσών (ιδίως της Αγγλικής), η κατοχή άλλων μεταπτυχιακών τίτλων, η επαγγελματική και η τυχόν ερευνητική δραστηριότητα (δημοσιεύσεις σε επιστημονικά περιοδικά, ανακοινώσεις σε συνέδρια), οι συστατικές επιστολές, η συνάφεια των προπτυχιακών (ή άλλων μεταπτυχιακών) σπουδών με το αντικείμενο του Π.Μ.Σ, καθώς και η συναφής επαγγελματική εμπειρία. Μετά την αξιολόγηση του φακέλου, οι υποψήφιοι θα κληθούν σε προσωπική συνέντευξη από τα μέλη της Επιτροπής Επιλογής Μεταπτυχιακών Φοιτητών.

2. Detailed Curriculum Vitae with details of the candidate's studies, research and professional experience (to attach the evidence of the mentioned previous service, publications & communications, if any)

3. Copy of diploma or degree or a certificate that they have completed their studies or a certificate that the candidate is expected to graduate by the start of the courses.
4. Copy of detailed score
5. Evidence of foreign languages (and especially English)
6. One to two letters of recommendation by University teachers, researchers, employers etc
7. Photocopy of the police ID or the passport
8. Recent photo identity card (to be attached to the application)
9. Responsible Statement, stating that all the above supporting documents are exact copies of the originals (to have been issued through Gov.gr or to bear the original signature)
