NOTICE-INVITATION

The Department of Medicine of the University of Thessaly invites interested candidates to submit applications for the Postgraduate Studies Program (PSP) entitled «"Human Genetics-Genetic Counseling" for the academic year 2025-2026, which leads to the award of a Master's Degree.

The Postgraduate Studies Program «Human Genetics-Genetic Counseling» aims to provide high-level education and specialization in the field of Human Genetics, as well as the acquisition of know-how for the diagnosis of genetic diseases. Particular emphasis will be placed on the training of scientists capable of staffing academic/research institutions, centers of the National Health System, private biomedical and diagnostic laboratories, biotechnology companies and pharmaceutical companies.

The duration of the postgraduate studies is 1 full year using modern distance learning methods, while the total number of credit units required is 75 ECTS. The tuition fee for the Master's Degree Program is 3,000 euros.

The Postgraduate Program "Human Genetics-Genetic Counseling" is certified by the National Authority for Higher Education (ETHAAE, No. Pr.37305/22-09-2023)

Selection conditions

Graduates from domestic University Departments or recognized equivalent institutions abroad will be admitted to the Postgraduate Program after an evaluation. Specifically, graduates from Schools of Medicine, Life Sciences, Natural Sciences, Agricultural Sciences and Polytechnics, as well as graduates from TEI Departments of a related subject.

The necessary supporting documents that candidates must submit are:

1. Application for Participation (from the website) 2. Detailed CV (from the website) 3. Copy of Degree/Diploma 4. Certificate of Detailed Grades (with exact GPA) 5. Scientific Publications/Distinctions (if any), Additional qualifications (special seminars, studies, postgraduate degrees, supplementary education degrees, etc., if any) 6. Proof of professional experience (if any) 7. Two letters of recommendation 8. One ID photo 9. Copy of police ID 10. Proof of knowledge of foreign languages (at least English) 11. Solemn Declaration "that all supporting documents are exact copies of the originals"«
